AFTER-ACTION ANALYSIS

Date: March 19, 2026

Area of Operations: Washington, D.C. – National Mall

Participants: SS Lee, SCT Jang, JR Jang

Mission Objective:

Conduct a nighttime urban exploration operation to develop endurance, situational awareness, and group cohesion through supervised movement across iconic national landmarks.

Execution:

The Flock initiated operations at Foggy Bottom with a meeting involving Ms. Dahye Yoon, a medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, who previously treated SCT Jang in 2024 at Children's National Hospital.

The Flock then proceeded to the Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Washington Monument, Capitol Building, and the Supreme Court, before heading back to Foggy Bottom. 

Results:

Total Distance: ~ 8 miles

Total Time: ~ 3 hours

Lessons Learned:

  1. How to walk around safely in an urban environment (when supervised). 
  2. How to prepare for and carry water on long walking operations.
  3. General U.S. history (as applicable).
