MISSION STATEMENT

Jesus will provide. We simply need to hold fast to Him.

Rooted in the principles of Psalm 23, we believe that right provision, protection, and direction ultimately comes from Jesus, and not from our own striving. We do not want to “win,” as the world would understand winning. Instead, we choose to focus on obedience, service, and discipline, trusting that Jesus knows, and will provide for, our needs, as He promises in His Word.

What is Shepherds?

Shepherds is a multi-dimensional services platform serving the Korean-American community in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area—bringing together young men, their families, and local businesses to teach skills, service customers, and cooperatively nurture the next generation.

For Students

Shepherds is a place to grow with, and for, the community: from professionals, from mentors, and from real-world environments where critical skills are applied and tested. Through career guidance, education planning, skill-based workshops, and hands-on exposure, students will develop clarity about where they are going in life, and how to get there strategically.

But the objective is not simply success.

We train our Flock to become:

God-fearing;
Disciplined;
Self-sufficient; and
Capable of serving others.

Knowledge must paired with responsibility. Skill must paired with character.

Growth is measured not only by achievement, but by the ability to stand firm on Biblical principles and lead others righteously.

For Families

Shepherds exists to strengthen the household.

Through mentorship programs, physical training, shared activities, and practical services, families are given opportunities to spend meaningful time together while being served by Shepherds. This shared time is critical to the Shepherds mission, as it is the foundation from which trust can be built (i.e., trust is built through shared experiences).

We create environments where:

Parents and children are engaged in cooperative tasks;
Respect between generations is reinforced through action, not demands; and
Discipline, accountability, and care are practiced daily.

From boxing training to various at-home services to shared outdoor experiences, Shepherds helps families grow stronger together.

For Businesses

Shepherds connects businesses to a trusted, values-aligned community.

Businesses will receive practical support, from legal and operational assistance to logistics and execution, delivered by people who not only understand the work but also, and, more significantly, embody the professional and moral standards required of a follower of Jesus Christ.

At the same time, businesses are not just recipients of services. They are participants in the Shepherds mission.

Through Shepherds, businesses:

Engage directly with students;
Teach real-world skills;
Provide exposure to industries and careers; and
Contribute to the development of the next generation.

We want our business partners to grow while helping their local community grow.

One Platform, One Flock

Students learn from local business leaders in the community.
Families get support from their students as they help nurture their students into dependable young men.
Businesses receive affordable, dependable assistance as they invest into the next generation.

Each part strengthens the other. No one operates in isolation.

Our Foundation

At the center of all of this is not profit or self-promotion.

We declare that all we accomplish through Shepherds is through faith in Jesus Christ, and faith in His promise that He is our true Shepherd.

We believe that when we align ourselves with Jesus and His Word:

Provision will come, in the exact amount determined by God.
All our needs will be met, provided such needs orient us towards Jesus.
The community will not only be sustained but be blessed and fruitful.

At Shepherds:

We will serve the community.
We will train the next generation.
We will give with all of our heart.
Then we will build up the youth to be mighty men of God.

But, in all things, not our will but His will be done.
